Awesome Wedding Gifts For Grooms

Don’t forget about the groom!

It’s a bit of an ancient myth that most grooms aren’t interested when it come to the wedding gift list. We tend to have a real interest and pride in our homes these days and for most style-savvy couples there’s a lot of joint decision making and shared taste; as there should be. Friends and family of the groom may not know the bride quite as well, and want to buy a gift the groom will like. I’ve seen plenty of feedback from guests saying there isn’t anything ‘blokey’ on the list and so, short of adding power drills and pint glasses, I’ve come up with a few of my own favourites which just happen to tick the ‘bloke’ box too.

Idbury Fire Pit
Create a warm and cosy atmosphere in your garden or patio with a fire pit. Whether you want to roast some marshmallows or just keep the chill at bay in the evening, you are guaranteed to find the perfect fire pit from a variety of shapes and sizes that matches your style and home!

Wüsthof Classic Ikon

OK. These aren’t cheap but you’re not officially married until you’ve carved a turkey the size of a labradoodle. It’s the law. Separate knives are a great way to get a full collection without one person having to splash out. Great for follow up birthday and Christmas gifts too, which avoid jumpers and Lynx gift sets for a few years. Win!

LSA Islay Decanter & Tumbler with Walnut Base and Coasters
There’s something terribly grown up and cool about owning a heavy decanter with amber-coloured fluid in it, straight out of Mad Men. You’ll need the perfect tumbler to go with the above and these beauties weigh as much as a small coffee table, so you’ll definitely know you’re holding one. Go the whole hog and order the matching ice bucket for a 60’s New York City vibe.

Jo Malone London: Men's Cologne Collection
A perfect gift set for the groom, this carefully curated selection by Jo Malone London includes some of the most stunning fragrances created just for him.

Melitta: TS Smart Bean to Cup Coffee Machine
I’m a coffee-lover and I do slightly judge my friends on their counter-top hardware. It’s a big ticket item but if there’s a KitchenAid on the list, you’re definitely allowed to add this - plus there's always group gifting to make it cheaper for guests.

Bold & Noble Illustrated Letters

It doesn’t need to be expensive but wall art is a great gift that can be a permanent reminder of your wedding. I’m a huge fan of typography and your first initials plus an ampersand comes in at around £100, I guarantee they’ll be bought from your list first!

Sonos One Wireless Speaker with Alexa, Gen 2
Looking for something that's more than a speaker? Then look no further with Sonos One Gen 2 which features Amazon's Alexa. Not only will you be able to listen to your music in high quality but you will also be able to turn your home into a smart home with the help of Alexa. The easy-to-use voice service will enable you to change the volume, change songs, control streaming services or any other smart home technology connected to your Alexa by only using your voice.

Moët & Chandon Impérial

What better way to celebrate than with a truly iconic champagne when your gifts arrive!

Big Green Egg
Sod it. If you’re going to ask for a barbecue, get a proper one that will last a lifetime. The equivalent of a six-oven Aga, it can smoke, sear, bake, roast and act a pizza oven. Your mates may need to club together for this one but you’ll forever be King of Summer!
