For Chris and Alice, their spring marquee wedding in Somerset was all about one thing: everyone actually enjoying themselves. No rigid schedules, no fuss. Just good food, great views, and the freedom to wander. After saying their "I dos" at the church, the celebration moved to a local field with sweeping hilltop views, where a spacious marquee was waiting to do the rest.

The real talking point? The food. Rather than a formal sit-down dinner, Chris and Alice lined up nine food trucks(yes, NINE!), giving guests the kind of wedding catering choice that actually gets people talking. An ice cream van rolled in for dessert, and as the evening wore on, a make-your-own pizza station had even the bride and groom rolling up their sleeves.

The relaxed vibe ran through every detail. With no assigned seating, inside the wedding marquee or out in the field, guests could roam, reconnect and find their own corner of the day. As Chris and Alice put it: "It was the perfect day, and everyone is still talking about the food and feeling of the day."

Style-wise, Alice looked stunning in a sleek white dress with floral detailing, paired with a natural, textured bouquet. Chris and the groomsmen kept things sharp in light beige suits with blue and green ties, a considered touch that perfectly matched the day's relaxed feel. The bridesmaids' silvery-blue dresses tied it all together beautifully.

When it comes to wedding planning advice, Chris and Alice keep it simple: "It's ok to do something different, everyone will love it no matter what you do." They also stress the importance of finding suppliers who are genuinely on your side. "If you aren't getting the answers you want during the enquiry stage, don't be afraid to look for a new one. They should be doing everything they can for you. If they aren't doing it now, they probably won't on the day."

Alice & Chris' reasons to choose Prezola for their gift list

A wedding gift list wasn't originally on Chris and Alice's radar, and like a lot of couples they found themselves asking "Do I need a wedding registry?" A gentle nudge from family got them started, and once they did, it was a breeze. Their honeymoon fund ended up being the highlight of the list, which made perfect sense for a couple who live for exploring. As Alice explains: "We love to explore, and having the honeymoon pot was a great option for us, and why we chose Prezola."

Ease of use mattered too, particularly for older guests. "The process had to be straightforward and easy to work out. The link straight to our gift list and easy selection and checkout process meant we didn't have any questions from relatives." No awkward phone calls. Just gifts, sorted. Win-win!

Alice & Chris' top wedding gift picks on Prezola

The couple loved how simple Prezola's wedding gift list platform was to use, and the range of suppliers meant they could choose things they'd actually use. "We could pick things that are actually useful to us, other than some bedsheets or towels," said Alice.

The gifts haven't just been used, they've become part of the couple's married life. "Making good food is one of our favourite things to do when we get time together. Deciding whose idea sounds more tasty and making it has become a weekly joy and connection point of our married life so far. Our wedding gifts have definitely inspired the food ideas."
