Tom Dixon's Bash Vessel draws its name from the distinctive hand-beaten technique used in its creation, where sheets of annealed brass are meticulously hammered to create a sculptural metal form with unique character. The large bowl features a warm gold matte finish that will naturally develop a rich patina over time, celebrating the living quality of brass. Please Note: Brass will develop a natural patina as it oxidises, we believe that this enhances the beauty of the product as it is the nature of the material. “Warm gold finish” refers to a special wash that Tom Dixon uses to give the brass a warmer, matte finish. This is an un-lacquered finish and therefore will continue to oxidize and develop a richer patina. If you do not want your product to have a patina finish, you may wish to use a metal polish. However, please be aware that this will alter the original finish of the product. By polishing this product, it will remove the warm gold finish and change the surface to a polished bright brass.
